First event for Docbike’s military Liason Branch

Dr Ian Mew and trainee paramedic Ben Preston, an RAF veteran, demonstrate how to afield remove an injured biker’s helmet safely, having discussed when a helmet must be removed… when the biker is not breathing.
The biker down in this case was Conrad Garbutt, a serving soldier, and DocBike volunteer

Military attendees practice CPR on one of DocBikes “female” resus dummies. Using a female dummy, is part of DocBikes efforts to normalise giving a female CPR. We understand that 1:3 males would not give CPR to a female in need, for fear of being accused of inappropriate touching. This puts females lives at direct risk.
