NIHR Biomedical Research Centre’s Open Day

by | May 5, 2026 | DocBike partner news, DocBike UK, MIPnet, Research

In pride of place this morning as delegates attend the NIHR BRC’s Open Day, celebrating research and innovation in the health sector.

This conference was based around the three Dazi shifts of

  • Prevention instead of treatment
  • Use of digital data
  • Shifting healthcare focus into the community

DocBike ticks all of these Dazi shifts for health reform, so it’s understandable why preventing motorcyclists from coming to harm makes sense and is catching people’s interest.

What was really interesting was to hear about inclusion in research. One of DocBike’s research themes is looking at motorcyclists as an under-represented group within research but also road collision reduction investment. Find out more about our work and get involved at www.MIPnet.org.uk
