DocBike Supports Air Ambulance Week 2023
This Week is Air Ambulance Week!
The DocBike charity is very proud to work with Air Ambulances UK, to help prevent people, specifically motorcyclists, from ever becoming patients.
All of the Doctors and Critical Care Paramedics who respond to patients on a DocBike are also air ambulance Doctors or paramedics. You can watch a 3 minute video of how we work together here.
Although DocBike is a relatively new charity, it is rapidly spreading across the country and we’re really pleased to say, so far, we’re working with the air ambulance in each region in some way to collaboratively help save lives.

It’s for this reason that we’re really keen to support #AirAmbulanceWeek and share some key messages:
-
Air ambulance charities can’t save lives without you!
-
A life-changing or life-threatening injury or medical emergency can happen to anyone, at any time, anywhere
-
Each mission is funded almost entirely by the generosity of local communities
Throughout the week, we’ll be bringing you some information on how DocBikes work with their local air ambulances, but most importantly, highlighting the phenomenal work that air ambulances do and how it’s so vital that members of our community support them.

Please check out in particular the air ambulances that are currently working alongside DocBike UK to help prevent motorcyclists from becoming major trauma patients:
