We often hear, “I have a QR code on my helmet incase i crash, it contains all my information”, “my info is all on my phone” what if your phone gets damaged?
But did you know that emergency services can’t scan unknown QR codes with their issued devices nor have the time when the information is vital in the moment. This also goes for USB sticks.
However, one thing they always do is remove a helmet.
Did you know the C.R.A.S.H card has been around since March 2009!
It was created by the committee of the Ambulance Motorcycle Club.
Over 2 million of the free “CRASH Cards” are in circulation across the UK, America, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Northern Ireland, Eire, Portugal, Romania and France.
In circulation nationally, they can be collected from various Road safety partnerships, Fire and Rescue services, Bike safe, Biker down courses and of course DocBike stands at any event.
So get your helmet ready for the year ahead, get your card from Somerset Road Safety, Raise Your Ride, Biker Down Devon & Somerset, Biker Down UK , BikeSafe or of course one of our DocBike UK stands at the many events. There are some located in varying motorcycle stops and retailers loke Quickshifter Coffee, HelmetCity Somerset Ltd etc. Or alternatively you can get one online at our website https://docbike.org/product/crashcard/… (price is to cover postage).
