DocBike Shropshire’s first visit to Prees Bike Night

Last night was a fantastic evening and a strong reminder of what can be achieved when the riding community comes together with a shared purpose.As our inaugural event at Prees, the night was made even more special by the support of Mike and Neil from DocBike Cheshire, whose presence highlighted the value of collaboration between DocBike groups. Bringing Cheshire and Shropshire together in one place reflected the wider strength of DocBike — working collectively to engage with riders and help prevent serious incidents before they happen.

Throughout the evening, we had the chance to speak with a number of motorcyclists, explain what DocBike is about, and share an important message. While many people know DocBike for attending serious collisions, prevention is a huge part of what we do. Events like Prees Bike Night give us the opportunity to have those conversations early, in a relaxed setting, among the riding community itself.
A huge thank you goes to Dave and his team at Ma Bakers Cafe for their fantastic support and for kindly allowing us to set up on their car park. Their welcome and generosity helped create exactly the kind of atmosphere that made the event such a success.
We are also grateful to everyone who came over to speak with us on the night. The support, interest, and conversations made it a hugely positive first event for DocBike Shropshire at Prees Bike Night.
It was a great evening, a brilliant example of collaboration in action, and an encouraging start to what we hope will be many more opportunities to engage with riders across Shropshire.
