Easter Egg run to Dorset County Hospital
Easter Egg Run for the Kingfisher Ward – Dorset County Hospital
For once a Docbike Run dawned with glorious sunshine, although some of our riders rode through showers to get here but then it is Early April so I guess we should have expected it! some of the team from Docbike dorset never dissapoint with their outfits for a run, always in keeping with the theme! So dressed with an Easter Bunny theme they left The Churchill Arms, Alderholt at 11.30 and no earlier, (as we can not reach the hospital during the ward lunch! we musn’t ruin their appetite with Chocolate!) The Docbike Van filled with Easter Eggs to bring a smile to Children in hospital over Easter made it’s way, following the bike riders to the Pencil sculpture at the Hospital. There it was unloaded and taken to the ward by our Easter Bunnies. Thank you to our support riders, Unity riders for marking the way and particularly Colin who checks all of our ride routes for us! Dave for riding DB1 and Simon for riding the engagement bike ( he now has a new picture on the meet the team page) and Lyndsey for driving the van. We love it when a plan comes together!
