DocBike annual Rideout and Dorset Bike Festival

20-21 SEPTEMBER 2025

Our biggest fundraiser of the year, the DocBike annual Rideout coincides once again with the Dorset Bike Festival, which brings together dealerships from across Dorset to provide a great line-up including  demos, talks, workshops, live music and amazing stands from bike dealers and traders. But it’s the Ride Out that raises money for us. Book your rideout ticket here! Once on site there’s great food and drinks – and glamping if you don’t fancy wrestling with your tent!  Click for more…

STOP PRESS… Sammy Miller Museum Rideout leg cancelled

It has been decided to cancel the leg of the DocBike Annual Ride Out that was to start from Sammy’s. It has been a difficult decision to take, especially in light of the fabulous support that we get from Sammy’s; but common sense has to prevail. With holiday bookings etc, we are struggling to provide enough marshals and volunteers for each start point.

We would be delighted if you could still join us at The Churchill Arms, Alderholt and start the ride from there. The pub will be open from 9.00am and you can be assured of a warm welcome from Tanya and her team. Brekkers will be available along with tea and coffee etc. Simon and his team will be manning the registration desk and we’ll have a safety brief at 10.00am with stands up at 10.30am. You’ll be interested to know that we have a new longer route to Wooders this year and hope you enjoy it.

We are so sorry for the change in plans and any inconvenience caused, but we are hopeful you will appreciate the logic of this decision. If you would prefer to cancel your ticket and would like a refund, please do not hesitate to contact DocBike and we’ll get that done ASAP.

FREE NextGen rider training in Dorset

DocBike is delighted to offer our no-cost rider training course to motorcyclists aged 16-35, who have a current CBT, but who have not yet obtained their full motorcycle licence and who have a motorcycle to bring with them which they are legally allowed to ride on public roads. The bike must be roadworthy, have a current MOT and be taxed and insured.

IAM RoadSmart and Phoenix Training will supervise the rider skills section and John Milbank, from Bennetts BikeSocial, will run the bike security section. There are courses running from June 2025 through the Summer, but places are limited. Click here for further details and to apply for the course.
