Amazing Support for DocBike Staffordshire
Wow! The team from DocBike Staffordshire have certainly been busy raising funds and awareness for the charity. Regional Lead, Carol Close provides an update on the fantastic support that they have received recently.
The 25th-28th August saw a huge event held at Uttoxeter Race Course. The 41st Goldwing Owners Club of Great Britain Annual Treffen, approximately 500 Bikes and over 800 people attended. This included visitors from some European countries too. We met friends both old and new, the warmth, generosity and support we were shown was overwhelming. We were invited to attend the presentations during the evening of the 27th, at the end of the awards we were presented with a cheque and cash totalling £1,500!! Thanks to the organisers and everyone that attended and helped to raise such an epic amount of money.
19th August was the 1st Birthday Party for Staffordshire Honda. We were chosen to receive any monies raised on the day and there were some fabulous raffle prizes to be had. There was cake and all kinds of birthday treats on offer. We had a fabulous day, Bob, Michelle and all the team at Staffordshire Honda were incredibly kind and as old friends, their support and generosity was outstanding. The huge sum of £720 was raised and donated to DocBike Staffordshire #LukesLegacy.
A huge thank you to everyone who was involved, you are all truly wonderful.
